Man accused of breaking into ex-girlfriend’s Oakland County home

Police find stolen gun and credit cards in suspect’s vehicle

SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A Detroit man was arrested in Macomb County after reportedly breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s home.

According to authorities, Shelby Township police received a 911 call at about 4:30 a.m. on July 28 from a woman who had received videos on her phone of her ex-boyfriend inside her apartment while she was not home.

The suspect was identified as Gjervon Williams. Police said Williams had already left the area by the time officers arrived, prompting a warrant for breaking and entering.

Police said William was spotted in Shelby Township on Friday, Aug. 8, and he was taken into custody. During a search of his vehicle, officers reportedly found a gun stolen from Detroit and multiple credit cards that did not belong to him.

Williams was arraigned Friday on charges of felony home invasion and receiving and concealing a firearm.
