OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – A child sexploitation lawsuit has been filed against Roblox Corporation in the Northern District of California by Dolman Law Group, marking the national litigation firm’s second complaint against the gaming giant in the district this week.
The complaint, filed on behalf of an Oakland County mother on Thursday (Aug. 14) and her minor daughter, alleges Roblox is accountable for creating a breeding ground for predators and enabling the sexual exploitation of a 10-year-old girl, identified as Jane Doe.
The suit further claims Roblox prioritizes financial gain over child welfare.
Beginning at age eightRoblox-Grow a Garden, the suit claims that Doe was an avid user of Roblox, an app marketed for children that boasts over 380 million active monthly users.
Believing there were proper safeguards in place, Doe’s mother allowed her to use the platform, assured by Roblox’s representations of child safety.
In 2024, the suit claims Doe allegedly encountered a dangerous predator posing as a child.
The predator, according to the suit, exploited her age and vulnerability to build a false emotional connection and trust.
The alleged predator then groomed Doe by sending graphic messages and sexually explicit images before convincing her to reciprocate.
The predator allegedly escalated manipulations by repeatedly asking Doe where she lived, for descriptions of her home, whether her parents were home, and encouraging secretive behavior.
The lawsuit alleges Roblox’s pervasive misrepresentations about safety instill a false sense of security in parents, while the platform’s design makes children easy prey for pedophiles.
Dolman Law Group’s investigation also allegedly uncovered Roblox “experiences” mirroring pop-culture references with hundreds of games titled “Diddy Party,” “Survive Diddy,” “JeffEpsteinSupporter” and “Escape to Epstein Island.”
The plaintiff seeks unspecified monetary damages for profound life-altering injuries and severe mental health issues.
Dolman Law Group currently represents individuals in cases against Roblox across the United States.

“We are deeply troubled by any incident that endangers our users, and safety is a top priority. We dedicate substantial resources, including advanced technology and 24/7 human moderation, to help detect and prevent inappropriate content and behavior, including attempts to direct users off platform, where safety standards and moderation may be less stringent than ours. While no system is perfect, Roblox has implemented rigorous safeguards, including restrictions on sharing personal information, links, and user-to-user image sharing, and prohibiting sexual conversations. We also partner with law enforcement and leading child safety organizations worldwide to combat the sexual exploitation of children.”
