Raid near Detroit elementary-middle school nets 4 arrests, 8 guns, $5.8K in multiple drugs

Among the firearms recovered, one had a “Glock Switch” machine gun conversion device attached

DETROIT – Following an investigation by the Detroit Police Narcotics Unit, officers executed a search leading to four arrests, eight guns, and multiple drugs.

The drug bust occurred on Wednesday (Aug. 20) in the 15000 block of Mapleridge Street near a Detroit elementary-middle school.

Police said the raid resulted in one felony arrest, three misdemeanor arrests, and the confiscation of multiple illegal items, including:

  • 51.6 grams of cocaine
  • 12.3 grams of fentanyl
  • 1.2 grams of heroin
  • 5 grams of methamphetamine
  • 14 pills
  • 8 firearms
  • $811 in cash

The total street value of the seized narcotics, according to police, is estimated at $5,818.

Among the firearms recovered, one had a “Glock Switch” machine gun conversion device attached.

Police said two firearms were identified as “ghost guns,” lacking any identifiable markings.
