PORT HURON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the person responsible for shooting a homeless man.

According to authorities, the man walked into a Port Huron Township business Saturday, Aug. 30, with a gunshot wound to his arm. First responders gave aid and applied a tourniquet to stop the bleeding before taking him to McLaren Macomb Hospital in Mount Clemens. He is expected to survive.

A police K-9 tracked a scent to a forest near 28th and Oak streets, but no suspect was found.

The victim was unable to describe whoever shot him.
