Proceeds go toward emergency services fund

If you ever wanted to own your own fire truck, here’s your chance.

South Haven Area Emergency Services Authority is auctioning off a 1998 Spencer Mfg. pumper/tanker fire truck.

The auction is online at municibid.com until Tuesday, Sept. 9.

The truck is fully operational. It has 30,000 miles on it and features an 8.3L Cummins engine, Allison MD-3066T automatic transmission, Hale 1,250 GPM pump, 1,800-gallon poly water tank, and the chassis is FL-80 Freightliner, single axle, 204″ wheelbase, driver/passenger/rear dumps.

All proceeds from the auction will go right back to the South Haven Area Emergency Services Authority. These funds can be used to buy new water hoses, another vehicle, helmets, and other essentials that the fire district needs to fight fires and save the lives of those in dire situations.
