Detroit Opera piano sale: 200+ pianos up for grabs

Sale runs Sept. 5–7 by appointment

DETROIT – The Detroit Opera is opening its doors for a three-day piano sale, Sept. 5–7, offering more than 200 new and gently used pianos to the public by appointment only.

The sale fills the main lobby and mainstage with grand, upright, digital, hybrid, and Disklavier player pianos from top makers, including Yamaha, Bösendorfer, Clavinova, Baldwin, Schimmel, Estonia, and vintage Steinway models.

Most instruments are less than a year old, come tuned, and include a new manufacturer warranty.

All pianos are being sold at institutional prices not normally available in retail stores, and delivery and special financing options will be available at the sale.

Interested buyers can book a visit at detroitoperapiano.org or by calling 248-756-6589.

Anyone who attends the sale can enter a drawing to win a pair of tickets to a Detroit Opera season production, including Highways and Valleys, The Handmaid’s Tale, or Apartment House 1776.
