Man arrested, charged in deadly 4-car crash on Eight Mile Road

Victim succumbs to injuries day after multi-car collision

DETROIT – Milton Bruce Jennings III is facing charges after a deadly car crash on Detroit’s west side.

It happened Monday, Sept. 1, just after 7:30 p.m. on Eight Mile Road, near Telegraph Road. Police said four cars were hit.

According to authorities, a man in his 60s who was critically injured in the crash died the following day.

Police said Jennings failed a standardized field sobriety test and refused a preliminary breath test. A toxicology report revealed that Jennings allegedly had a blood alcohol level above the legal driving limit of .08.

He was charged with reckless driving causing death, operating while intoxicated causing death, reckless driving causing serious impairment of a body function and operating while intoxicated causing serious injury.
