Michigan has the laziest workforce, study says

Top 5 hardest-working states, according to the study, are North Dakota, Alaska, South Dakota, Texas and Hawaii

DETROIT – A new study has listed the hardest-working states.

Rust Belt and Midwest states like Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia, did not fare too well.

Michigan was dead last.

The survey from Wallet Hub was based on ten direct and indirect work factors, including the unemployment rate, average workweek hours, how much workers leave vacation time unused and how many have more than one job.

The top five hardest-working states, according to the study, are North Dakota, Alaska, South Dakota, Texas, and Hawaii.
