DETROIT – The Grand Marshals for the 99th America’s Thanksgiving Parade presented by Gardner White have been announced.
It’ll be a bit of a homecoming in a way, as the Grand Marshals will be Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan and longtime Local 4 anchor Devin Scillian!
“Thanksgiving Day and Detroit are synonymous, and we are thrilled to have Mayor Duggan and Devin Scillian as our Grand Marshals for America’s Thanksgiving Parade presented by Gardner White,” said Tony Michaels, President and CEO, The Parade Company. “They are both extraordinary Detroiters who have done so many great things for our city and state, and they are a special part of our Parade family and tradition.”
Duggan has spent his life in Michigan and is a nationally recognized leader who began his career as deputy Wayne County executive after graduating from the University of Michigan Law School.
Devin is an award-winning journalist who spent 30 years at WDIV Local 4 before retiring in December.

“After nearly three decades of hosting the parade, it’s hard to describe the thrill of moving from the broadcast booth to the parade itself,” Devin said. “It’s the best day of any year in Detroit, and I’m so honored to help lead the march down Woodward Avenue.”
America’s Thanksgiving Parade presented by Gardner White, recognized as one of America’s best holiday parades, will be broadcast in 185 U.S. television markets on Thanksgiving morning, Nov. 27, as it makes its way down Woodward Avenue.
This year’s parade theme is “Thanksgiving is Better in Detroit.” It celebrates Detroit’s magical traditions and the city’s incredible game-day energy on Thanksgiving Day.
The parade can be watched live on WDIV Local 4, Local 4+, and ClickOnDetroit on Thanksgiving Day.
