On Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025, Studing allegedly attacked his 75-year-old neighbor.
The 75-year-old man “was cutting his grass when Studing pulled him off the mower and began kicking and punching him,” officials said.
The man’s 67-year-old wife attempted to intervene during the attack, but was “pushed to the ground several times.”
The 75-year-old man was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries, and the 67-year-old woman needed medical attention, according to the prosecutor’s office.
Studing’s bond was set at $500,000 cash/surety. He was ordered to wear a GPS tether and have no contact with his neighbors if released.
“The alleged attack on a vulnerable elderly neighbor is deeply disturbing. Violence can never be justified,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter Lucido. “Our office will work tirelessly to ensure accountability and to protect the safety and dignity of every member of our community—especially our seniors, who deserve to feel secure in their own homes."
