MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. – A 76-year-old man is in critical condition after he was rescued from a Macomb County house fire on Wednesday, police said.
The Chesterfield Township police and fire departments responded to 48700 Donner after receiving a report of a fire.

When they arrived, first responders discovered that the entire rear of the home was engulfed in flames. They also heard someone gasping from a front room.
They entered the home and rescued a 76-year-old man. He was burned “on the left side of his body and is currently on a ventilator and in critical condition,” according to police. The man’s family has been notified.
No one else was inside the home.
