Video: Coast Guard helicopter airlifts injured man from Isle Royale
Helicopter dispatched from Traverse City for urgent rescue
ISLE ROYALE, Mich. – Dramatic video captured a U.S. Coast Guard helicopter airlifting someone from Isle Royale on Lake Superior.
According to authorities, an MH-60 Seahawk was sent from Traverse City on Tuesday, Sept. 9, to help a 63-year-old man with a lower-body injury.
The MH-60 helicopter crew transported the man to Marquette Sawyer Regional Airport, where emergency medical personnel were waiting.
