Police seek three suspects in hookah store robbery

ROYAL OAK, Mich. – Police are looking for three people believed to have used a U-Haul truck in a Royal Oak Township smash-and-grab.

It happened at the Prestige Hookah store on Eight Mile Road at about 3:30 a.m., Monday, Sept. 15.

According to authorities, a U-Haul box truck was driven through the front of the store in an attempt to get the ATM inside. While the truck wasn’t reported stolen, police said it had a “punched ignition” and damage to the steering column.

Police responded to the alarm to find the truck at the business and the suspects gone.
