Flash flood warning issued for Washtenaw County -- What to know

SE Washtenaw County under flash flood warning until 9 a.m.

WASHTENAW COUNTY, Mich. – A flash flood warning has been issued for Washtenaw County early Wednesday morning.

The National Weather Service issued the warning on Sept. 24 at 5:50 a.m. for southeastern Washtenaw County and will remain in effect until 9 a.m.

1 to 4 inches of rain is expected in the area.

The National Weather Service advises residents to do the following during a flash flood warning:

  • Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths happen in vehicles.
  • Report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service
