DETROIT – A man was tased and arrested after assaulting a woman on the right shoulder of eastbound I-94 near French Road, according to the Detroit Regional Communications Center.
When the troopers arrived on Thursday (Sept. 25), they reported finding two women and a man standing on the shoulder.

Police said the man fled up the grass embankment when he saw the trooper.
The trooper gave several commands to stop, but the man ignored them, causing the trooper to deploy a taser, which was effective in stopping the suspect.
Officials said the 41-year-old MAN fell to the ground and was taken into custody.
Detroit Fire EMS removed the taser probes.
Police said the man is currently lodged at the Detroit Detention Center, pending review by the prosecutor.
Officials said the woman victim suffered a small leg laceration but did not require medical attention.
