I am grateful to the first responders who took action quickly. We will continue to monitor this situation and hold the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc close.”

“The entire church is on fire,” Swanson said. “We’re working with fire and all those things that happen during active shooter training. This is a dynamic scene.”
“I can’t actually believe that this would happen in my city,” resident Joe Ostrander said. “Nothing like this has ever even come close to happening here. It honestly -- I can’t even believe that it’s happened here.”
