LIVINGSTON COUNTY, MI -- The 18-year-old Grand Blanc man arrested last week for impersonating a firefighter has been arraigned on two felony charges. Clark identified himself a Brighton firefighter to firefighters on scene at an Unadilla Township structure fire on 2:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 13, according to Unadilla Township Police Department. When he arrived on scene, Clark had minimal firefighting equipment, including a helmet, safety vest and a radio. When officers found Clark, he told them he had responded to the Livingston County fire, as well as fires in surrounding counties, police said. Clark was released on a $5,000 bond from the Livingston County Jail.

Frutchey was confronted by police at a Flint council committee meeting Jan. 18 after police and prosecutors allege he sent emails to Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton and others, threatening to “martyr himself” in City Hall during a council meeting. Frutchey, who spoke at the council meeting, said he asked Flint police to investigate a car theft and told council members that public officials and police subsequently lied and failed to pursue the case to protect the thief and his father, an area doctor. WATERFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. - A Waterford Township police officer is off the job after it was discovered that Grand Blanc police have been investigating him for criminal sexual conduct. Police will only say the third-degree criminal sexual conduct charges stem from an incident in Grand Blanc last year. It took until May 30 for officer Kevin Thompson to be charged and arraigned. Grand Blanc said it has no booking photo of him. In a statement, police Chief Scott Underwood says in part "the alleged incident took place while Thompson was off duty and didn't occur in the township of Waterford."
Video shows Mateen Cleaves naked with accuser outside hotel
Surveillance video from outside a Grand Blanc, Mich. hotel shows former Michigan State University basketball star Mateen Cleaves and the woman who accused him of sexual assault. Video shows a naked Cleaves pulling a woman, who is also naked, back into a hotel room and motioning to a driver inside a white van. Cleaves' defense team said in court he was simply trying to prevent her from running off without any clothes on. Cleaves' attorney released a statement following the release of the video:"The whole video along with all the evidence was presented in a court of law. Cleaves was charged with criminal sexual conduct, assault with intent to commit criminal sexual conduct and unlawful imprisonment.
