BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Police believe a family member was living with their dead relative inside an Oakland County home for an “extended period” of time.
The discovery was made at 12:15 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025, at a home in the 4600 block of Hedgewood Drive in Bloomfield Township.

Police from Bloomfield Township went to the home and found a body, they said.
They also spoke to a “distressed” family member. Crisis negotiators spoke to that family member and brought them into protective custody, according to police.
Investigators believe the family member “had been living with the deceased for an extended period.”
Bloomfield Township police are investigating the death and said there are no obvious signs of foul play. The community is safe, they said.
