Bomb threat cancels classes at Monroe County Community College

MONROE, Mich. – Classes were canceled Tuesday at Monroe County Community College’s main campus due to a bomb threat.

The alert went out at 10:29 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2025, and the campus was evacuated as a result.

School officials told everyone to stay away from the main campus on Raisinville Road until further notice.

Here’s the full message on the MCCC website:

ALERT: MCCC has received a bomb threat and both the Main Campus in Monroe and Whitman Center in Temperance have been evacuated and closed.  Please do not come onto campus until further notice. All classes are cancelled for today, Sept. 30, 2025.
