DETROIT – A Detroit hospital nurse is facing another sexual assault charge, officials said.
Wilfredo Figueroa-Berrios, 47, of Wayne, has been charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct in connection with the assault of a 31-year-old woman, according to a press release from the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office on Monday, Oct. 6, 2025.
The man is accused of sexually assaulting the woman when she was a patient at Detroit Sinai-Grace Hospital, where he worked as a nurse. This alleged assault happened on Aug. 12, 2025.
Figueroa-Berrios was arraigned on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025, and received a $100,000/10% bond. He was ordered to wear a GPS tether and follow a curfew from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., according to the prosecutor’s office.

He also cannot have any contact with the victims or visit any hospitals, except in the event of a personal emergency.
Figueroa-Berrios is scheduled to appear in court for a probable cause conference on Oct. 13 and a preliminary examination on Oct. 20.
In September, Figueroa-Berrios was arraigned on charges of third-degree criminal sexual conduct and fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct.
He is also accused of sexually assaulting a 41-year-old woman after forcing himself into a porta-potty outside Detroit’s Grand Circus Park on May 9.
At the time of his previous arraignment, the prosecution said Figueroa-Berrios was facing four additional sexual assault cases beyond the alleged May assault.
