DETROIT – A teen has died and another was injured after a drive-by shooting on Detroit’s west side on Monday morning.
The shooting happened in the area of Shaefer Highway and W Chicago on Oct. 6 at around 7:30 a.m.
Detroit police said two teens were walking home after visiting a local store when they had an argument with someone. This led to someone in a blue Lincoln SUV shooting the teens.
About 28 to 30 shots were fired, according to police.
Both teens were taken to a local hospital. One of them died from their injuries. The extent of the other teen’s injuries is not clear.
Police said based on the number of casings found at the scene, there could be two shooters. The suspects were not arrested.
No further details were given. The investigation is ongoing.
