Police asking public for help identifying woman accused of assaulting 2 in Downtown Detroit

Woman allegedly assaults two women on separate occasions

DETROIT – Police are asking the public for help identifying a woman accused of assaulting two other women in Downtown Detroit.

Both of the alleged assaults happened on Sept. 28.

Police said the first assault happened at around 4 p.m. in the area of Woodward and John R, and the second assault happened at around 8 p.m. in the area of Washington near Park.

According to police, the woman allegedly approached two different women and began talking to them before assaulting them. Police said both alleged assaults were unprovoked.

The women who were attacked told police they were confused about what the woman was saying before they were allegedly assaulted. Police did not provide further details on what the woman allegedly said.

It’s not clear if the woman was under the influence during the alleged attacks.

Police released images of the woman during a press conference on Oct. 7. You can view those photos in the video at the beginning of this article.
