According to authorities, the driver of an orange Dodge Challenger became aggressive toward a Toyota and was following it on and off the freeway. Police said it started when the driver of the Challenger got out and kicked the Toyota several times for no reason.

While trying to get away from the Challenger, the Toyota pulled onto the Southfield Freeway. The Challenger reportedly cut in front of the Toyota and brake-checked it near Seven Mile Road, causing a crash.

Police said the driver of the Challenger got out, climbed onto the hood of the Toyota and kicked in the front windshield before speeding off.

The drivers did not know each other, nor did they have any physical altercation before the windshield was kicked in.

Michigan State Police troopers found the Challenger near Grand River and Livernois avenues, where they attempted a traffic stop, but the driver sped off. Troopers did not chase after it, citing reckless driving.

The driver of the Challenger was arrested shortly after in Southfield for an unrelated reason. His vehicle has been seized by police.
