Police learned that the driver of the Bronco, identified as a 30-year-old South Lyon woman, was heading southbound on Dixboro Road when she disregarded a stop sign.

She then collided with a truck pulling a trailer that was being driven by a 44-year-old Howell man, causing both vehicles to overturn.

The South Lyon woman and her two passengers, a 2-year-old boy and a 1-year-old boy, were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The Howell man was not injured.

“Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash; however, distracted driving is believed to have contributed,” state police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
