Teen injured in shooting in Southwest Detroit, police searching for suspect

DETROIT – A teen was shot in Southwest Detroit late Wednesday night, and police are searching for the suspect.

The shooting happened in the area of Vernor and Livernois on Oct. 15 at around 11 p.m.

Detroit police said someone shot from outside the home and hit the teen boy who was inside.

The teen was sent to the hospital. The severity of his injuries are unclear.

Police have not released further information about the suspect.
