DETROIT – Detroit minister Malik Shabazz, known for his work in civil rights, is asking for prayers.
Speaking from his hospital bed at Henry Ford, Shabazz said he’s battling an incurable bacterial infection and can’t take blood thinners.
Shabazz called his condition life-threatening on Friday (Oct. 17), saying doctors have done all they can.
His family says they’re grateful for the outpouring of support and continue to ask Detroiters to keep him in their prayers.
