DETROIT – There’ll be plenty of boots, shoes and other outerwear to choose from when Timberland moves into its space along Woodward Avenue in downtown Detroit.

The retail giant is opening Nov. 14 inside the Traver Building. Grand opening activities are expected Nov. 15-16.

It’s the company’s first standalone store to open this year, a spokesperson told Crain’s.

The store joins a list of other retailers including Apple, Alo, Tecovas, Gucci, Savage X Fenty, GW Home, Free People and others that have been added to Woodward in the last few years.

The downtown Detroit location across from Hudson’s Detroit will be one of the few standalone Timberland stores in the state; the brand is mostly sold in Michigan through other retailers. There is a Timberland Outlet store in Auburn Hills, according to the company’s website.

Timberland will be located at 1217 Woodward Ave.
