LANSING, Mich. – Frank Prezzato, 69, of St. Clair Shores, was sentenced to six months’ delayed probation after pleading guilty in September to one count of voting absentee and in-person.
Prezzato acknowledged that he acted recklessly by voting twice during the same election, a violation that undermines the democratic process.

On Election Day in St. Clair Shores, Prezzato appeared in person at his local polling location during the August 2024 Primary Election.
Despite having already returned an absentee ballot for the same election, he requested and voted a second ballot in person.
Both votes were counted in the primary election.
Prezzato was charged in October 2024 with one count of voting absentee and in-person and one count of offering to vote more than once.
If Prezzato successfully meets all terms and conditions of his probation, all charges will be dismissed with prejudice at the end of the probation period.
A delayed sentence review is scheduled for April 15, 2026, in the 16th Circuit Court in Macomb County.
