Detroit police search for man accused of attacking 3 people with blunt object during home invasion

Victims were two men in their 50s and an 81-year-woman on the city’s east side

DETROIT – Detroit police are searching for a man who is accused of attacking three people with a blunt object during a home invasion on the city’s east side.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2025, at 2:48 p.m., when police said the man broke into a residence in the 6000 block of Harrell Street and assaulted two 56-year-old men and an 81-year-old woman with a blunt object.

After the attack, police said the man then fled the scene. No items were reported stolen.

Officials said the victims were being treated at a Metro Detroit hospital for their injuries.

The man is identified as Stephon Corey Springer, 33, about 6 feet tall, with braids down to his shoulders.
