2 bystanders shot at Oakland County gas station -- what we know

Shooting happened at BP gas station in Southfield

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Two bystanders were shot at an Oakland County gas station on Tuesday, and police are searching for two suspects.

The shooting happened just before 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2025, at the BP gas station at 24722 Southfield Road in Southfield.

When police arrived at the gas station, they found two men with gunshot wounds.

They were both taken to a local hospital to be treated for their injuries. Neither was involved in the shooting, according to police.

The two suspects, who appear to know each other, allegedly walked into the gas station and exchanged gunfire.

Both of them left the gas station before police arrived.

The investigation is ongoing.
