Drugs believed to be factor in Detroit crash that killed motorcylclist

DETROIT – A 58-year-old man from Redford died early Sunday in a motorcycle crash in Detroit.

It happened at about 1:30 a.m., Nov. 2, at the intersection of Woodrow Wilson Street and the Davison Freeway.

According to authorities, the man was driving a motorcycle northbound on Woodrow Wilson Street when he crossed over eastbound Davison Freeway to make a U-turn. He was struck by an eastbound SUV driven by a 32-year-old woman and died at the scene.

Police believe drugs or some form of impairment may have contributed to the crash.
