Detroit expands food pantry options: How to find locations

The City of Detroit has expanded food pantry options as families on food assistance deal with uncertainty during the government shutdown.

On Friday, the Detroit mayor Mike Duggan announced he has authorized $1.75 million in emergency funds to provide additional food to local pantries.

District Managers will be working closely with partners at the United Way, Forgotten Harvest, Gleaners Food Bank and Metro Food Rescue to coordinate volunteer efforts.
