DEARBORN, Mich. – FBI agents are back in Dearborn on Wednesday, but there’s no threat to the public, police said.

The Dearborn Police Department posted early Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 5, 2025, that the FBI and Michigan State Police are both “conducting operations” in the city.

"We want to reassure our community that there is no threat to the public," the post said.

FBI agents made multiple arrests late last week in what they’re calling a thwarted terrorist plot.

Two people are facing a charge of “receiving and transferring, and attempting and conspiring to transfer, firearms and ammunition knowing and having reasonable cause to believe that the firearms and ammunition would be used to commit a federal crime of terrorism.”

Police said they found several guns, more than 1,600 rounds of ammunition, and tactical vests when they searched the two men’s homes and a storage unit.
