DETROIT – A 738-foot freighter has run aground in the Detroit River near the Renaissance Center.

The MV Rt. Hon. Paul J. Martin was on its way to Quebec from Sault Ste. Marie.
Our Windsor camera shows the freighter stuck perpendicular to the shoreline.
It’s not clear what the freighter is hauling or how it ran aground.
Local 4 reached out to the Coast Guard for information.
