Holiday toy drive at Fox Theatre supports families with critically ill children

Donated toys will be shared at Lansing event benefiting over 800 kids

DETROIT – This weekend, you can enjoy the festive magic of “A Christmas Story, The Musical” at the Fox Theatre and support a toy drive benefiting families caring for children with life-threatening illnesses.

From Friday, Nov. 14, through Sunday, Nov. 16, $5 from every ticket sold for the musical will be donated to help these families during the holiday season.

Guests attending the 7:30 p.m. performance on Friday, Nov. 14, are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate.

Donation bins will be set up outside the Fox Theatre on Woodward Avenue for toy drop-offs.

All collected toys will be distributed at a holiday event at Potter Park Zoo in Lansing on Dec. 10, benefiting more than 800 children and their families.
