EMS administered aid at the scene before the 32-year-old was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

Hogobloom was arraigned on a second-degree murder charge in 38th District Court on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2025. His bond was set at $1 million, according to the prosecutor’s office.

If he posts bond and is released, he must wear a GPS tether.

He also cannot purchase or possess a firearm or any dangerous weapon, and he cannot have any contact with the victim’s family.

“While conflicts may arise between individuals, resorting to violence is never the answer,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido. “It undermines not only the lives directly affected but the stability of our society as a whole. Our office will pursue this case with the utmost seriousness to ensure accountability and to reaffirm that law and order must prevail.”
