1 injured in shooting near theater at Partridge Creek mall -- What we know

Police continue to search for suspected gunman

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Police in Macomb County are still searching for the suspected gunman in a shooting at The Mall at Partridge Creek.

The shooting happened near the MJR theater at around 7 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 23.

Police said at least one person was shot and taken to a local hospital. They are expected to survive.

According to authorities, the shooting is believed to be an isolated incident between two people and there is no threat to the public.

Police are looking for a person of interest described as a man wearing a green hooded sweatshirt with white flowers and jeans.

A representative from The Mall at Partridge Creek released the following statement:

“We are currently working with local law enforcement to gather details on what occurred during tonight’s tree lighting event. Guest and staff safety is our top priority, and we will continue to collaborate with Clinton Township Police Department as they investigate this situation.”
