WAYNE COUNTY, Mich. – A driver has died after colliding with a semi on eastbound I-94 near Middlebelt Road in Wayne County.
The crash occurred on Tuesday (Nov. 25) in Romulus at 3 p.m., according to the Detroit Regional Communication Center, which said it was notified of the two-car crash.

Michigan State Police said a preliminary investigation revealed that the semi truck with a box trailer was slowing in traffic when a Chevy sedan failed to stop and rear-ended the semi.
Officials said the driver of the Chevy was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Michigan State Police said they have not yet notified the victim’s family.
Troopers are actively investigating the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
