DETROIT – Two teens with gunshot wounds were dropped off at a Detroit police station on Wednesday and are now recovering at a local hospital.
Detroit police said that four teenagers were dropped off at the 8th precinct on W McNichols Road by a good Samaritan at around 12 p.m. on Nov. 26. Two of those teens were suffering gunshot wounds.
The teens were taken to a local hospital and are expected to recover.
Police said it’s not yet clear when or where the shooting happened. However, Detroit Police 8th Precinct’s Commanding Officer, Dietrich Lever, said, “these weren’t innocent teens.”
Lever said the teens were targets of a violent criminal investigation. No further details were given regarding the criminal investigation.
“It’s extremely important to be actively engaged in your children’s lives every day, and know what they’re doing,” said Lever. “Talk to them so we can prevent incidents like this.”
