West Bloomfield Township man charged with 9 felonies after firing into an occupied home, police say

No one inside the home was struck or injured during the shooting

WEST BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A West Bloomfield Township man has been charged with nine felonies after police said he fired into an occupied home.

The incident occurred on Monday, Nov. 24, 2025, at approximately 9:30 a.m., when West Bloomfield Township Police Department officers arrested the man following a violent incident at a home on the 7400 block of Coach Lane.

The man reportedly walked to his neighbor’s home, broke out a window, and fired numerous rounds from a handgun into the residence, which was occupied by four individuals at the time.

Fortunately, no one inside the home was struck or injured during the shooting, according to police.

The West Bloomfield Township Police Detective Bureau conducted a thorough investigation and submitted the case to the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office on Nov. 25 for review.

On Nov. 26, the prosecutor’s office issued a nine-count felony complaint and warrant for Marquis Greg-Lamr Fletcher, a 50-year-old West Bloomfield Township resident.

The charges include:

  • Count 1: Home invasion, first degree (20-year felony)
  • Count 2, 4, 6, 8: Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony (2-year felonies)
  • Count 3: Discharge of a firearm in or at a building (10-year felony)
  • Count 5: Assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder (10-year felony)
  • Count 7: Wearing body armor during the commission of a violent crime (4-year felony)
  • Count 9: Assaulting, resisting, or obstructing a police officer (2-year felony)

Detective Harold swore to the complaint and warrant via Zoom before a magistrate at the 48th District Court, who found probable cause and signed the warrant for arrest.

Fletcher was arraigned before the magistrate, who set bond at $500,000 cash or surety.

His next court appearance is scheduled for Dec. 9, 2025, at 8:45 a.m.

Following the arraignment, Fletcher was transported to the Oakland County Jail, where he remains in custody.
