Young woman fatally shot in Ann Arbor apartment; police search for suspect

Ann Arbor Police are searching for a suspect after a young woman was shot and killed at an apartment complex Sunday afternoon.

Through a K9 search, police found a firearm believed to have been used in the shooting. Police are conducting interviews with witnesses to identify the suspect.

Wayne County man accused of exchanging child pornography on social media

According to a criminal complaint, Joshua Shinholster is accused of messaging a person through a social media app and exchanging images and videos of child pornography.

The investigation into Shinholster began when the FBI executed a federal search warrant at a home in Metro Detroit in September 2025 regarding a person possessing and distributing child pornography. The person involved in this case was not named in the criminal complaint.
