HILLSDALE COUNTY, Mich. – A Michigan man said he thinks his wife “stopped breathing for a minute” when she discovered that he had won a $6 million lottery prize, officials said.
The 69-year-old Hillsdale County man, who decided to stay anonymous, won the top Super Raffle prize when his number, 130129, was selected as the $6 million winner in the drawing that happened on Nov. 19, 2025.

“I really liked the odds of the Super Raffle game, so I bought a ticket here and there,” the player told Michigan Lottery officials. “I checked my raffle number on MichiganLottery.com the day of the drawing and couldn’t contain myself when I found out I’d won the $6 million top prize. I called my wife over to the computer to show her the results and I think she stopped breathing for a minute when she found out how much we won!”
The man purchased the Super Raffle ticket at B&T Party Store at 12823 East Chicago Road in Somerset Center. Somerset Center is located about 20 miles south of Jackson.
He chose to receive the prize as a lump sum payment of about $4.1 million.
The 69-year-old man told Michigan Lottery officials that he plans to share his prize money with his kids and then save the rest.
