SB Lodge Freeway near 9 Mile Road in Southfield reopens after crash closure

Freeway was shut down for 6 hours, drivers can resume normal routes

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – All southbound lanes of the Lodge Freeway near 9 Mile Road in Southfield are back open after a six-hour closure.

At 2:45 a.m. on Dec. 20, Southfield Police and Fire Rescue responded to a single-vehicle crash on the SB Lodge near the 9 Mile exit.

With assistance from a Michigan State Police helicopter, officers searched the area but did not find any occupants from the car.

Local hospitals were contacted to check for anyone seeking treatment related to the crash, but no admissions were reported.

Drivers can now resume their normal routes without restrictions.
