US Airman 1st class Cody Bradshaw has served in the Air Force for a year and Saturday was the first time the 26-year-old Saginaw native has been able to come back home.

“The Next few days, I’m just enjoying the holidays, going and seeing all my family friends, and then just enjoying some time off,” Bradshaw said on Saturday after his flight arrived at Detroit Metro Airport.

Bradshaw was able to come back home today thanks to called “Miles for Military.”

It’s a non-profit that lets active duty service members trade volunteer hours at a charity of their choice for flights they often would not be able to afford.

Scammers pose as Ann Arbor police, demand money

Ann Arbor police say scammers are posing as their officers and asking for money.

The Ann Arbor Police Department says they first received reports of the scammers making calls to residents on Wednesday.

There were about 10 reports made that day.

The scammers claimed to be an Ann Arbor police officer and often used an officer’s specific name.

In several cases, the scammers claimed the resident missed jury duty and needed to hand over varying amounts of money to the police department.

He says Michigan police officer punched him. Now jury awarded him $4 million

A man said he was punched by a police officer in Michigan, and now, a jury has awarded him $4 million.

The lawsuit claims Daniel Reiff and another man were walking to a roofing job near 16 Mile Road and Gratiot Avenue when someone called police to report a “suspicious person.”

According to the suit, Clinton Township Officer Broc Setty approached Reiff, who then ran away.

The officer chased Reiff and reportedly shouted, “Whoo, baby, I’m gonna tase you, bro,” before catching up and punching him in the face.
