INKSTER, Mich. – A 25-year-old father of two was fatally shot during a domestic dispute at his Inkster apartment early Monday morning, according to police.
According to Williams’s aunt, the incident began when the mother of his newborn child and her sister arrived at his apartment and refused to leave.
The situation then escalated into an argument, and the sister allegedly shot Williams multiple times.
First responders transported Williams to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Earlier that morning, first responders were seen carrying Williams’ newborn child from the apartment, wrapped in a blanket.
Family members spent hours at the crime scene on Dec. 22, 2025, waiting for information as police investigated.
Inkster police Chief Tamika Jenkins addressed public safety concerns in a statement: “Based on the information available at this time, this appears to have been an isolated incident, and there is no known danger to the public.”
Police have detained two people in connection with the shooting.
The names of those in custody have not been released pending potential charges from the prosecutor’s office.
The investigation is ongoing.
