ROMULUS, Mich. – It started as a simple weed in a parking lot near Detroit Metro Airport, but for dozens of travelers around the holiday, it grew into much more.
This all began when someone heading to the airport noticed a weed growing in a nearby parking lot and decided to add a bit of Christmas cheer.

Then someone else followed suit. And another. And another.
Soon, thanks to people adding a decoration or two here and there, the weed had turned into a source of holiday joy for those who came and went from the parking lot.
