Police search for man who robbed cash advance in Lenawee County before fleeing on foot

A K-9 track was unsuccessful, and witnesses describe the man as white, approximately 5’5”-5’6” tall

LENAWEE COUNTY, Mich. – Police are searching for an armed robbery suspect who robbed a cash advance in Lenawee County before fleeing on foot.

The incident occurred on Friday, Dec. 5, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Advance America located at 1422 S Main Street in the city of Adrian.

Surveillance video obtained by the Adrian Police Department captured the incident.

Upon entry, police said the man produced a black pistol and instructed employees to turn over cash from cash drawers as well as a safe, saying, “My kids need this.”

Police said that in approximately six minutes, the man obtained approximately $5,000 cash before fleeing on foot east along the building’s exterior.

Officials said a K-9 track was unsuccessful, and witnesses describe the man as white, approximately 5’5”-5’6” tall.
