Ambassador Bridge, Detroit-Windsor Tunnel to cost more in 2026 -- What to know

The next time you head to Windsor could cost you more if you’re taking the Ambassador Bridge and Detroit-Windsor Tunnel, as both are raising their tolls.

Starting on Thursday, Jan. 1, the Ambassador Bridge’s tolls will increase the one-way toll for cars, motorcycles, and buses from $9 to $10.

Elderly man hospitalized after confrontation with Oakland County DoorDash driver

A DoorDash driver is facing charges after allegedly assaulting a 75-year-old man in Wixom.

It happened Sunday, Dec. 28, near the intersection of Barberry Circle and Windingway Drive, where first responders found Lloyd Poole unconscious in the roadway.

Police said Poole confronted the DoorDash driver about speeding through the neighborhood before the assault.

Mother claims she was asked to leave Detroit women’s shelter after raising alarm on safety issues

A woman living inside the Detroit Rescue Mission and Ministries women and children’s shelter says she and her daughter were asked to leave after she sounded the alarm on safety concerns in an anonymous interview with Local 4.

The woman, named Natasha Slater, is sitting on-the-record with Local 4 after capturing the moment she was asked to leave on tape.
