Macomb County man accused of killing man in ‘violent attack’ at Oakland County home

Milford man found dead during welfare check

MILFORD, Mich. – A Macomb County man was arrested on Wednesday after he allegedly killed a man in Milford.

According to authorities, Milford police officers found the 26-year-old man’s body inside his home on Summit Street, just west of Commerce Street. Police said they were called to the home Wednesday, Dec. 31, for a welfare check after his girlfriend was not able to contact him for some time.

A 29-year-old man from Sterling Heights was taken into custody that night. Police said the two men knew each other, the killing was not random and the injuries the 26-year-old had were consistent with a violent attack.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Milford Police Department at 248-684-1815.
