3 shot, 2 stabbed during fight at funeral gathering in Harper Woods

HARPER WOODS, Mich. – Three people were shot, and two others were stabbed on Saturday night after a fight broke out at a funeral repast.

The incident occurred around 9:20 p.m. at Platinum Affairs Event Hall in Harper Woods.

Police say the gathering turned violent, leading to multiple injuries.

One suspect was taken into custody, and the victims with gunshot and stab wounds were taken to the hospital.

Police confirmed all five victims are expected to be okay.

Officials are working to piece together the events that led to the altercation and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
